I am a professional landscape and pet portrait artist. I create works of art that capture the unique beauty of locations and the innate personality of pets.
With over twenty-five years of experience, I am passionate about connecting people through emotion with my paintings. I specialize in landscape/architectural paintings, primarily commissioned by people wanting to capture the memories or experience of a particular house or place. I also specialize in pet portraiture, ensuring that my clients are able to capture, and keep, long lasting memories of their beloved pet. I actively donates to animal causes. In art, I hope to inspire you, the viewer, to become part of my experience
My first memories of the visual arts were sitting with a pencil in hand putting in all the shading in the comic strips from the newspaper and drawing clothes for my paper dolls. Since then I have been fascinated by the play of light and shadows on any given scene. The relationship between color and light on a subject is what interests me and sparks my creative energy. I see the beauty of the Universe in every thing around me ..
I am known for my artistic views and ability to create a play of light and shadow in my paintings, connecting people with the art in a way that really speaks to them
In conjunction with this, I also design and create sterling silver and copper jewelry that has a funky, tribal, look. Her designs include earrings, pendants and cuffs.
I am a former owner of two art galleries in Jensen Beach, Fl., with an international clientele, I was a Runner-up and received an Honorary Mention from Artist Magazine, for my work entitled, “Rose Farm”. My painting “ Moon Over 11 Maple Street” is owned by singer Celine Dion. One painting “The Three Amigos” has been featured on the working set of the TV Series, Beverly Hills 90210 . I was under contract with Gango Editions in Portland Oregon who produced my paintings that were sold world wide. Additionally, my work has been purchased and showcased in various hospitals, veterinary clinics and corporations in both Connecticut and Florida.
I have studied with Artist Leslie Stokes as well as the renowned Artist Morgan Samuel Price and is represented by Art Gumbo, Port Salerno, Florida and most recently joined Spectrum Gallery in Centerbrook, CT, and Rings and Things in Colchester CT.
I am from Connecticut originally but have spent the last 20 years in Florida and now I am back in CT where my heart has been. Now I am rediscovering my love of Plein Air ( French for painting outdoors ) Painting.
